Microblading in Poughkeepsie, NY

If you’ve been wishing for darker, thicker eyebrows, microblading may be the perfect solution. This long-lasting treatment can fill in the shape and color of the eyebrows to help you achieve your cosmetic goals without the need for the daily application of cosmetics. The Facial Plastic Reconstructive & Laser Surgery Center offers these treatments at our Oasis Medi-Spa, serving patients in Poughkeepsie, Hudson Valley, Westchester County and the entire tri-state area.

How Does Microblading Work?

Microblading is a cosmetic technique that uses a form of semi-permanent tattooing to enhance the eyebrows. Using a micro blade, fine strokes of color are etched into the skin to create the appearance of individual hairs. By using this strategy in the eyebrows, microblading creates the appearance of fuller, darker eyebrows. Furthermore, it can enhance the shape and size of the eyebrows to help patients achieve their desired appearance without the ongoing maintenance of cosmetic products or real hair. The best part is, microblading looks like real hair when the treatment is complete!

What is the Microblading Treatment Like?

At Oasis Medi-Spa, our microblading treatments are performed by licensed estheticians who are specifically certified in microblading. This means you can enjoy a safe treatment experience in the comfort of our relaxing medi-spa environment. Prior to the microblading process, we’ll discuss your desired brow shape and map out the treatment plan. During this time, we’ll also create a custom color-matched ink so that your microblading results look as natural as possible.

As treatment begins, we’ll apply a topical anesthetic to the brow area to minimize discomfort. Then, the microblading device will be used to etch strokes of color in and around the eyebrows. This is done carefully to both preserve the health of the surrounding eyebrow hairs, and to ensure that each stroke looks like an individual hair. As such, the initial microblading treatment can take up to two hours to complete.

Who’s a Good Candidate for Microblading?

Anyone who is looking to fill in or otherwise enhance their eyebrows could be a good candidate for microblading. Whether you are struggling with natural eyebrow growth or you simply want the convenience of semi-permanent cosmetics, microblading is a suitable solution. If you would like to determine whether microblading is right for you, contact us for a consultation.

When Do You See Results from Microblading?

Immediately after your microblading treatment, the eyebrows will darken. This is a natural part of the healing process that can take a couple of weeks to go away. Once the initial healing process is complete, we’ll perform a touch-up treatment to add additional color and dimension to your final results. This is typically performed 4-8 weeks after the initial microblading session.

What Kind of Results Can You Expect from Microblading?

After the touch-up treatment, you can expect long-lasting results that look like real brow hair. Typically, microblading results last for approximately two years, but they will fade over time. Patients may notice varying results based on their skin types. Fortunately, after your initial microblading session, you can easily prolong your results with touch-up sessions as needed.

I appreciate that they don’t try to push you into procedures that you don’t want. Most places I have been do try and guilt you in to doing more.Ryan is wonderful!

My LMT was professional and provided a good Swedish massage and addressed areas of discomfort I had indicated. However I thought I had booked the 80 min. spring special and he knew nothing about it! Also room was too warm and small.

The massage therapist, Dana, is terrific! She thoroughly knew what I needed, and I look forward to my next appointment! One topic I'd like to address: the massage therapy room needs to be larger. I’ve felt this way ever since it was changed. (I remember my first massage(s) in one of the larger rooms & after that, we moved to the “walk-in closet-like” space.) It’s a bit odd hearing phone conversations or other people talking at the desk. Perhaps the lounge area doesn't need to be the size it is? Just a thought.
