Dr. Dermody joins us as our latest fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is completing her fellowship at the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, under the mentorship of world experts, including Dr. Manoj Abraham. In her role as a fellow, Dr. Dermody offers a wide range of cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeries and procedures. Dr. Dermody blends artistry with precision to deliver natural results tailored to each patient’s personal goals.
Dr. Dermody completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan, consistently ranked as one of the top surgical training programs in the country. She was selected as Chief Resident and honored with multiple awards for her leadership, clinical excellence in patient care, and research contributions. Prior to residency, Dr. Dermody graduated with honors from Georgetown University, and studied at the University of Oxford in England. She earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where she received multiple awards for exemplary personal character, commitment, and dedication to the field.
Dedicated to scholarship as well as surgical expertise, Dr. Dermody holds a Master of Public Health degree and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications. She is passionate about applying the latest research to improve patient results and advance outcomes-driven care. Dr. Dermody has participated in multiple global outreach missions to expand access to surgical care around the world. She is known by her patients and colleagues for her warmth, thoroughness, and attention to detail—qualities that make her not just a skilled surgeon, but a trusted partner in each patient’s journey.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Dermody enjoys traveling, hiking in national parks, and spending time with her family and labradoodle. A classically trained violinist, she also finds joy in music and values the blend of technique and artistry it requires—qualities she carries into her surgical practice.
Dr. Dermody offers a full complement of facial aesthetic and rejuvenation procedures including rhinoplasty, facelift, eyelid surgery, ear reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, scar revision, and injectables under the supervision of world-renowned expert, Dr. Abraham.
