Morpheus8: Microneedling with Radio Frequency in Poughkeepsie, NY

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 takes the benefits of microneedling and laser skin resurfacing to another level, combining microneedling with radio frequency that penetrates deeply into the skin. In fact, the Morpheus8 is capable of penetrating further than other microneedling devices available at this point in time.

Technically referred to as a subdermal adipose remodeling device, or SARD, Morpheus8 is designed to fractionally remodel and contour your aging face and body and has been touted as the very first full-body fractionated technology as well as next-generation microneedling.

It leaves little to no damage to your skin and is safe for all skin types. There is much less risk of inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is very common with a number of other popular resurfacing treatments.

Plus, because the tiny punctures are made by the Morpheus8’s sharper needles, there’s no pulling or tugging needed on the skin. This makes for a more comfortable patient experience.

What Does Morpheus8 Do?

The purpose of a Morpheus8 treatment is to improve the texture of your skin, reduce the lines and wrinkles due to aging and tighten up the skin wherever the treatment is applied.

It accomplishes this by using radio frequency (RF) energy and directs it deeply into the dermal layers of your skin. These layers are the actual building blocks that create the gorgeous contours of your face and body.

The RF energy targeting these deep skin layers heats them up, causing them to literally change or ‘morph’ their shape, reorganizing into natural, radiant, younger-looking contours. This change is also assisted by the collagen production which is stimulated by the Morpheus8 procedure.

Where is Morpheus8 Beneficial?

Probably the most common applications of Morpheus8 involve the face and/or neck area, although it has also been used to tighten loose, saggy skin in the abdominal area as well.

It will work on any area of the face or body that has acne scars, discoloration or wrinkles. Typically, most patients undergo anywhere from one to three Morpheus8 treatment sessions, depending on their goals and the severity of the issues they’re dealing with.

It bears repeating that one of the major benefits of this new technology is that it can be used on all skin types, including darker skin tones, and contains very little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), a common occurrence with many other skin resurfacing methods.

Final Thoughts

Morpheus8 is setting new standards for RF fractional remodeling, and on top of the excellent performance it gives on its own, Morpheus8 can be combined with a variety of other procedures to enhance your results even more.

A Morpheus8 treatment can be used in the same session as additional treatment methods or, in some cases, a few days following other procedures. This can be discussed at length during your initial consultation.

Your results will be evident within just a few days. By about three weeks post-procedure, the results will become the most noticeable but will continue to improve over time, up to about three months.

We’re proud to offer Morpheus8 treatments to our patients, and encourage you to contact our office to schedule a consultation to find out more about how Morpheus8 can help you turn back the hands of time.
